Welcome to my Polar Plunge fundraising page!
Minnesota law enforcement has a long tradition of supporting Special Olympics — and apparently an equally long tradition of jumping into freezing water for fun. They call it the Polar Plunge. I call it “a questionable life choice,” but here we are.
My daughter Erin has been involved with several law enforcement agencies over the years and has bravely taken the plunge many times. This year, she’s the team captain for the Cottage Grove Public Safety team… which means I’ve officially run out of excuses for not joining in the "fun"...
For years, I’ve donated from the comfort of a warm, dry couch, but this time I’m joining the brave (and possibly slightly unhinged) souls who willingly leap into a lake in winter.
If you’d like to support me, I’d be incredibly grateful. Since this is my first year, my main goal is to raise awareness and visibility — and maybe a few dollars — before I lose feeling in my toes. Any amount helps, and your moral support is just as valuable as your financial support.
Thank you!
