Hi, I’m Serina Stokke, and I’m plunging and fundraising to support Hastings High School and Special Olympics Minnesota—for our students who deserve every opportunity to feel seen, valued, and included.

This is our second year hosting the Cool School Polar Plunge at HHS, and it means so much more than jumping into cold water. This initiative gives our students with special needs a place to belong—to play on a team, build meaningful friendships, gain confidence, and experience the joy of being recognized for who they are and what they can do.

For many of our students, these moments are life-changing. Sports become a space where they are celebrated, strengths are highlighted, and barriers fade away. Your support helps ensure that every student has access to these opportunities—to grow, to connect, and to thrive in an inclusive environment that truly honors them.

At Hastings High School, our students are at the heart of everything we do. Thank you for helping us create a school community where acceptance, dignity, and joy are not extras—but expectations.
