Hey!
Welcome to my Polar Plunge page! This is my first year taking the plunge so I'm very excited. I might also have some nerves too. I'm so honored to be able to raise awareness about the Special Olympics and be able to support all of the special needs individuals in Minnesota.
I decided to participate in the Polar Plunge this year because of our FCCLA Star Project. For our project, we were able to raise $1,000 dollars for the Special Olympics through an event called "From Kids, With Love", where we helped young children shop for their parents' Christmas presents independently so they could enjoy the thrill of gift giving. This event was very successful and has given us the opportunity to continue it as an annual tradition.
When I found out about the Polar Plunge from a friend, I thought that this would be the perfect chance to continue raising funds for the Special Olympics and keep learning more about this event.
I set my goal at $500 because I know how important the Special Olympics is to all of the individuals who participate and their families. This event makes them feel like they belong and gives them a place to be themselves while doing the things they are passionate about.
Please consider contributing to this amazing fund to make a difference. We appreciate it very much. Thank you!!
