This year, our donations are in honor of my dad, Scott "BigGun" Backstrom, who lost his battle with brain cancer on November 1st, 2023. The Polar Plunge was BigGun's favorite charity event and, since 2017, he raised over $11,600 for Special Olympics Minnesota by taking the Polar Plunge.
