Welcome to my Polar Plunge page! Many of you are aware that my sister April has special needs and is wheelchair bound. So going above and beyond for people like my sister is simply in my blood. Doing things that promote inclusion for ALL is absolutely necessary! So I will gladly jump into a frozen lake to raise money for Special Olympics Minnesota! The team I represent, the Probation Plungers, was founded in 2021 by Terran North-Simpson who works with me as an Assistant Probation Officer. Shortly after she was hired, she created this team to serve as a team building opportunity for our probation unit located in St. Paul, Minnesota. Agents were not as excited about jumping into a frozen lake and freezing as she was. So as a Supervisor I had to Dare to Lead and was the first person in our unit to sign-up and join her. I always encourage my agents to Become comfortable, being uncomfortable. So, I put my proverbial money where my mouth is in jumped in that lake. Ive never looked back and we continue to grow our team and impact for Special Olympics Minnesota each year. Please donate/sponsor my jump to help raise money for Special Olympics Minnesota!
