On Saturday February 12th, an enthusiastic (and slightly crazy) group of Waconia Elementary School staff and students will be participating in the Special Olympics MN Polar Plunge right here in Lake Waconia!❄
Yes, we will be fully submerging our entire bodies into a frozen lake...BUT, we are doing it for a great reason! This year our district is working toward becoming a Unified Champion district. 50% of the money that we raise as a Waconia Elementary Schools team will come directly back to our own Unified program so we can kickstart athletic opportunities for our students (ie: Unified Track and Field team) right here in Waconia! Let's work together to make sure that ALL students have opportunities to participate in sports while feeling valued and celebrated!

$30 - Puts a child through an 8-week Special Olympics Minnesota Young Athletes season
$60 - Provides an eye examination and a pair of glasses for two Special Olympics Minnesota athletes
$100 - Sends a Unified Pair to ALPs University, Special Olympics Minnesota's athlete leadership program
$250 - Implements a Respect Campaign into a school/business/organization
$500 - Provides funding to start a brand new Special Olympics Minnesota Delegation
