Amy Murray
I’m diving back into the icy waters of Lake Nokomis for Round 2 — not just to shiver, but to melt a little ice around barriers and assumptions that keep people with intellectual disabilities on the margins. These athletes show courage, joy, and teamwork every single day, and this plunge is my small, cheerful resistance to anything that others them.
Your support turns freezing water into real momentum — funding programs that create access, confidence, and community for Special Olympics athletes, on and off the field. Thank you for cheering me on through the cold, the cause, and the conviction that inclusion always wins. Together, we can make another big splash for belonging.
As the SVP of Events for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games, I have the privilege of helping create moments of connection and celebration, and I support Special Olympics because the athletes show us what courage, joy, and inclusion look like in action. Everything I do — from producing events to taking the Polar Plunge — is about turning values into action and helping create a world where everyone is seen, supported, and celebrated.
