People with disabilities face barriers to employment. The employment rate of working age people (21 to 64) with disabilities in Minnesota is about half the rate of the general population. Most want to work. Employment provides dignity, self-sufficiency and independence. Everyone has abilities and most individuals with disabilities can be
productive using minimal accommodations. They may end up being the best workers you have ever had.
